OperationHow long does the Omni dock cycle take for one clean session?
Approximately 6-8 minutes to wash, rinse, and dry mop pads after a full clean cycle. Manufacturer documentation indicates dock runs automatically when robot returns.
OperationCan the dock be installed without plumbing access?
Yes. Ecovacs states the OMNI Station requires no plumbing at all. It uses removable tanks, 4 L for clean water and 3.5 L for dirty water, which the owner lifts out to fill and empty. Removable-tank operation is the only shipped configuration, not a degraded fallback, and the station refills the robot’s onboard tank from the clean tank on its own.
OperationWhat firmware updates have mattered on this model?
The consequential one is the November 2024 over-the-air security update, which closed the Bluetooth flaw that allowed remote takeover of X2 units including camera and microphone access. Ecovacs does not publish a public version-by-version changelog for this model, so no other update can be described by version number here.
CompatibilityIs the robot compatible with Google Home and Alexa voice control?
Yes, integration supports both platforms for start/stop commands. App scheduling is available on the Ecovacs Home app but not through voice assistants. The robot also carries the onboard YIKO assistant, which listens through the robot’s own microphone rather than through an external hub.
