PCWorld/TechHive (Christopher Null) reports that when the cycle ends the robot "is designed to park itself near a wall, which it did successfully in my testing, for retrieval." The Pool Nerd documents what closing that loop costs: the app "only works when the cleaner is out of the pool, leaving you with zero control once the device is in the water," and the 25-pound unit has no ergonomic handles, with the supplied retrieval hook slipping and its plastic audibly cracking during the lift, so a human retrieves and recharges it after every run.
