LUBA blades are thin double-edged consumables, each held by a single screw on a pivoting disc. Mammotion’s guidance is to flip them to the unused edge at roughly 50 to 150 cutting hours and replace the full set at roughly 100 to 150 hours. They are not sharpened: grinding a pivoting blade removes material unevenly, unbalances the disc, and thins the section at the pivot screw, which is where the blade fails. Official replacement sets sell in 8 and 24 piece packs in the $20 to $30 range. Seasonal storage at 80% charge with a mower cover prevents moisture-related corrosion.
CompatibilityDoes the LUBA AWD 5000 need an RTK subscription or network coverage?
No. The mower ships with its own RTK reference station, a 33 ft extension cable and a power supply. The owner mounts the station on a pole or wall with clear sky view and it corrects the mower directly, so positioning does not depend on a third-party correction service or a regional coverage map. What it does depend on is satellite visibility: dense canopy over the station or the lawn interrupts the fix.
OperationHow long is initial setup?
