OperationDoes the eufy E15 require a perimeter wire or a base station?
Neither. eufy sells the E15 as wire-free and RTK-free: it maps the lawn with its camera and virtual boundaries are drawn in the app. There is no reference station to buy, site or align.
OperationHow accurate is the E15's navigation in tree shade or under dense canopy?
The E15 reads the lawn edge optically, so the limit is light and contrast rather than sky view. Deep shade, low sun and borders where turf and bed blend together are where accuracy degrades. eufy does not publish a minimum light level; early owner reports describe degraded performance under heavy shade.
CompatibilityIs there a subscription for navigation or app features?
No. The E15 has no RTK and no positioning service to subscribe to. Mapping, boundary editing and scheduling run in the eufy app at no additional cost.
OperationHow large a lawn is the E15 rated for?
eufy rates it for lawns up to 800 sq m, which is 0.2 acre or about 8,600 sq ft. It covers 150 to 270 sq m (roughly 1,600 to 2,900 sq ft) per charge, then returns to its dock, recharges and resumes until the lawn is finished. One dock covers the rated area.
OperationWhat happens if the mower loses track of the lawn edge mid-cycle?
Behavior during a navigation fault is not documented in published materials, and a full season of field reports is not yet available. The mechanism to watch is optical rather than positional: the camera losing contrast or light, not a satellite fix dropping.
OperationDoes the eufy E15 work in rain or wet grass?
eufy publishes little on wet-weather operation. Camera-guided navigation is exposed to rain in a way a buried wire is not, since water on the lens and flat contrast on wet turf both work against the signal it steers by. Wet-grass traction limits are not published either.
