Less than the naming suggests. Both are LiDAR navigation robot vacuum and mop models, and both ship with the smart auto-empty dock; TP-Link’s own product name for the RV30 Plus states both. The difference is suction, with the Max Plus rated at 5,300 Pa. Both are L3-equivalent for autonomy.
OperationDoes the RV30 Max Plus mop as well as vacuum?
Yes. TP-Link sells it as a robot vacuum and mop, and describes it switching between vacuuming and mopping so everyday dust and sticky messes do not need two machines. The dock’s stated function is emptying dust into a sealed bag, so the mop pad is rinsed by hand between runs.
CompatibilityCan I schedule cleaning while away without Tapo app on my phone?
Yes. Wi-Fi-connected scheduling runs on TP-Link cloud; the app does not need to be running. Cloud-dependent operation applies; Wi-Fi outages delay scheduled starts until reconnection.
