OperationDoes the Saros 20 vacuum and mop in the same pass?
Yes. Both systems activate per room; suction + spinning mop pads run simultaneously. Adaptive pressure adjusts to floor type.
OperationWhat does FlexiArm do on the Saros 20?
It extends the side brush and the mop pad sideways so the robot reaches into corners and along baseboards without pressing its body against them. It is a coverage mechanism, not an object-pickup arm: the Saros 20 does not grasp or move anything. Grasping belongs to the Saros Z70 and its OmniGrip arm.
OperationDo I need to empty a dust bag on the Saros 20, or does it auto-empty?
The dock empties the robot automatically. Roborock rates the dock at up to 65 days between bag changes, so plan on roughly six bags a year rather than one. The dock also washes the mop pads with 212°F (100°C) water, dispenses detergent, dries the pads with 131°F (55°C) air, re-washes when it detects they are still dirty, refills the robot’s water tank and cleans itself.
OperationCan the Saros 20 climb stairs or move between floors?
No. It cannot climb stairs and does not move between floors on its own. AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 raises the wheels to cross raised thresholds in a doorway, rated to 3.46 in as a double-layer obstacle, which Roborock breaks out as 1.77 in followed by 1.69 in in sequence rather than a single 3.46 in riser. A US stair rise runs 7 to 7.75 in, well beyond that. Carry the robot between floors and map each floor separately.
OperationDoes the Saros 20 handle thick carpet at full suction?
Yes, but mop pads lift to prevent saturation. Suction at carpet is documented as effective in owner trials; no clogging complaints in early reports.
