Eureka J15 Max Ultra

The motorized corner arm solves a real class-specific problem: edge dust accumulation that side brushes leave behind. But Level III autonomy still means weekly oversight and the arm does not replace route optimization—it specializes. Solid flagship execution; does one thing very well.

Weekly52×/yr
Empty dust bag from auto-empty dock (~$0, consumable included); rinse mop pad manually or run dock auto-rinse (~5 min).
Monthly12×/yr
Replace mop pad (~$24–$32 per pair, per manufacturer estimates pending); clean side brush fiber wrap (~5 min).
Seasonal4×/yr
Deep-clean dock water lines with descaling solution (~$12–$15 per flush kit); replace hot-water heater cartridge if flow diminishes (~$60–$90).
Yearly1×/yr
Replace wheel bearings if bearing wear is documented (~$35–$50 per pair, DIY or service).
As neededno fixed schedule
Replace pre-motor filter (~$18–$22); inspect hot-water heater cartridge for mineral buildup.
Safety notes

CautionCorner arm pinch hazard: SweepExtend mechanism can pinch fingers during dock setup.

CautionHot-water circulation burn risk: Heating element reaches high temperature during cycles.

Common questions

What people actually ask.

5 answered
Ownership
Does the J15 Max Ultra's SweepExtend arm replace a traditional side brush?
No. The arm supplements the side brush, activating on a programmable schedule to reach deep corners. Manufacturer specs indicate the arm retracts during mop-down, so corner suction remains the primary mechanism.
Operation
Can the hot-water mop dock run unattended overnight?
Dock drain-and-dry sequence is not yet documented. If overnight cold-water soak occurs, mold and odor risk increases. Confirm the auto-dry protocol with Eureka support before committing to every-other-day mop schedules.
Operation
What is the J15 Max Ultra's battery runtime on a single charge?
Runtime specification is pending. Until Eureka publishes capacity and floor-coverage estimates, assume a full 3,000+ sqft pass may require mid-cycle recharge or dock top-up.
Operation
Does the J15 Max Ultra handle multi-floor homes without remapping?
LiDAR mapping is per-floor. Moving the dock to the second floor requires a fresh map, approximately 15-20 minutes. Two-story homes with one dock location require manual floor handling or a second dock.
Ownership
Is the SweepExtend arm covered under warranty if it fails?
Standard Eureka warranty coverage is assumed but not confirmed. Motorized moving parts may fall under accelerated-wear clauses. Confirm arm-specific repair costs with Eureka before purchase.
