OperationDoes the mower navigate around obstacles like garden beds without hitting them?
No. Boundary wire defines only the perimeter; obstacles within the yard require manual wire loops during installation. Owner reports confirm accidental side-brush contact with unmapped objects.
OperationHow long does boundary wire installation take?
Typically 1–2 hours for a 0.25-acre yard. Wire can be laid on surface or buried 2–3 inches. Worx documentation provides layout templates.
OwnershipWhat maintenance intervals does the blade require?
Worx’s documented sequence is to rotate and flip all three blades together, then replace the set once worn. A spare set ships in the box and replacements sell twelve to a kit (WA0190). The blades are 1 inch two-edged razors hanging from screws on a free-pivoting disc, and they are not sharpened: grinding one removes material the spinning disc depends on for balance and destroys the second cutting edge the design relies on. Dull blades tear grass tips, increasing disease susceptibility.
OperationCan the mower operate during rain?
A rain sensor sends the mower back to the charging base to wait until the lawn dries. The delay is about cut quality and traction on wet turf; the Landroid and its base are built to stay outdoors through the mowing season.
OperationIs the battery interchangeable with other Worx tools?
Yes. Landroid M uses Worx 20V Li-ion packs (WA3553 series), fitting other Worx yard tools. Spare batteries extend mowing capability on longer days.
OperationWhat happens if boundary wire is cut or damaged?
The mower stops. Losing the perimeter signal is the fail-safe condition for a wire-guided mower: the Landroid halts and reports error E1, “Wire missing! Press START to reset.” It does not keep cutting and it does not leave the property under its own power. Recovery means locating the break, splicing it with a repair kit, and pressing START.
