OperationCan Unitree Go2 climb stairs?
Yes, within the published limits. Unitree specifies a maximum climb angle of 30 to 40 degrees and a maximum step or drop height of 15 to 16 cm. Steps taller than that sit outside the specification, which includes some residential stairs. Stair traversal is a stock capability of the line rather than something the owner has to tune.
OperationWhat programming knowledge is required to use Go2's API?
Intermediate Python or C++ competency, for custom behavior. Stock walking, obstacle avoidance and side-follow run from the app with no code at all. Unitree provides SDK examples; anything beyond them demands an algorithmic understanding of gait control and sensor feedback.
OperationHow long does Go2 run on a single charge?
Unitree publishes roughly 1 to 2 hours for AIR, PRO and X, and roughly 2 to 4 hours for EDU, which carries the larger 15000 mAh pack against 8000 mAh on the others. Runtime drops in rough terrain and under payload. The pack is user-replaceable.
OperationCan Go2 operate autonomously outdoors without a human operator?
It avoids obstacles and follows a person on its own, from the app on PRO and above, with the 4D LiDAR feeding that behavior and no user code involved. It does not choose its own goals: routes, tasks and any decision about where to go come from an operator or from code written against the SDK.
OperationIs Unitree Go2 available in the United States?
Yes, through Unitree’s direct store and select resellers. Shipping timelines, regional service arrangements and warranty handling are not published in a form that could be verified for this record.
