No. Roborock states the mower builds its map with LiDAR and cameras, with no perimeter wire and no RTK antenna.
OperationHow close to a flower bed does the Q2 LiDAR's edge blade cut?
Roborock advertises 3 cm, then footnotes that the figure is the hardware distance to the boundary and that real results depend on lawn edges and software it plans to refine over the air. On the related RockNeo Q1, Notebookcheck found conservative software leaving uncut strips along edges.
OwnershipWhen can the RockNeo Q2 LiDAR be bought, and what will it cost?
Not yet announced. Launch coverage from Ubergizmo, TopTechNews and ChannelNews reports no price or date, and Roborock’s US page offers only an email signup.
OperationHow steep a slope can the Q2 LiDAR mow?
Roborock lists slopes up to 45% and vertical obstacles up to 4 cm, both from internal manufacturer testing.
