CompatibilityDo I need to bury a perimeter wire for the Q7 Max+, or does it stay on Wi-Fi alone?

No wire needed. LiDAR maps rooms autonomously and app defines no-go zones digitally. Wi-Fi required for initial setup and app control; after mapping, the robot stores the map internally and can clean without Wi-Fi if zones are not changed.

OperationCan the Q7 Max+ handle a multi-floor home without multiple docks?

Yes. The app stores separate maps per floor; you carry the dock upstairs or re-dock between floors. The robot cannot traverse stairs and must be manually moved. One dock serves all floors if you accept weekly relocation.

OperationWhat happens to mopping if I set no-go zones on carpet-only rooms?

Water flow stops in a room flagged for no mopping, but the pad stays in contact with the floor because nothing lifts it. To keep a damp pad off carpet entirely, lift out the 2-in-1 tank module or run it dry. Carpet rooms can be fully no-go or scheduled separately to avoid wet drag on pile.
