The D10 includes drop sensors that detect cliff edges and prevent descent, but it cannot climb stairs. Multi-floor operation requires manual carry to each floor and manual perimeter setup.
CompatibilityDoes the Botvac D10 have Wi-Fi or app control?
Yes. The D10 is a Wi-Fi robot with the MyNeato app, which handles scheduling, persistent maps, up to 16 named cleaning zones, no-go lines, and Alexa and Google Assistant voice control. Those features run through Neato’s cloud service, and Neato ceased operations in 2023, so their long-term availability is tied to what remains of that service. The button on the robot starts a cleaning run without the app.

Both are LiDAR-mapping robots with app control, so the mapping and zone features are not a point of difference. On price the comparison runs the other way from what the category label suggests: the Q5 launched at $429.99 against the D10’s $799.99, and it stays cheaper than the D10’s later $599 shelf price. What separates them now is support. Roborock still ships firmware and runs its cloud; Neato closed in 2023 and the service behind the D10’s connected features is winding down.
ComparisonIs the D10's D-shape better for corner cleaning than a round vacuum?
The D-shape allows the front edge to reach into square corners more directly than round units; however, owner reports describe inconsistent corner performance. Suction alone does not substitute for obstacle detection around furniture legs.
