Setup is limited to charging the unit and placing it in the pool; there is no cable to route and no deck-side power supply to site. Yes. The 8 inches is a minimum operating depth, not a maximum. Maytronics lists cleaning coverage as floor, steps, sun ledge, walls, water line, corners and safety ledge in pools up to 50 feet, and a low-mounted impeller with JetIQ jets is what lets the unit also work in water as shallow as 8 inches. Deep-basin floor and wall cleaning is baseline coverage, not an exclusion.

Maytronics publishes both. Cleaning cycles are selectable at 1.5, 2 or 2.5 hours, and the UltraRun battery is stated to cover up to a week of pool cleaning on a single charge.
