Polaris EPIC 8520

The EPIC 8520 is the mid-rung of the range Fluidra used to move Polaris from suction-side cleaners onto robots. It scans and plans a route rather than bouncing, which is the real separation from the pressure and suction machines it replaced, and the 4 L canister lifts out through the top with the water evacuated. It is corded and mode-selected, so it is a step below the app-connected iQ models in the same family.

- The cleaner scans the pool and plans its own route to cover floor, walls and waterline in a single unattended cycle, which is more than the fixed-pattern machines below it.
- It stays below Level IV because there is no persistent map, no adaptation between cycles, and a person selects the mode, starts the cycle, and lifts the machine out.

Polaris rates it for inground pools up to 40 ft end to end, with a 50 ft cable.

In one of its two modes, yes. The other cleans the floor only.

No. Mode selection is on the unit. App control and scheduling sit on the iQ models in the same EPIC range.
