RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) uses ground-based radio correction to refine satellite signals from centimeter-wide accuracy to single-digit-centimeter precision. Without the base station, the mower operates on standard GPS (3-5 meter accuracy), reducing to conditional-autonomy level. Base station cost is $1,200+; required for Level IV classification.
OperationCan I use the Lymow One without an RTK base station?
Yes, but operation degrades to Level III conditional autonomy with 3-5 meter pass accuracy. Complete coverage requires operator to verify endpoints or rerun passes. Practical autonomy is severely limited without RTK.
OperationHow does the mulching blade differ from traditional discharge or bagging?
Mulching blade recycles grass into fine particles that fall back into the turf, returning nutrients to soil. No grass bag required; no clipping discharge windows needed. Eliminates bagging workflow but removes option to bag grass for disease or debris control.
ComparisonDoes the tracked suspension perform better on slopes than wheeled mowers?
Yes. Tank-tread design provides superior traction on slopes up to 30 degrees and soft ground (wet soil, sandy yards). Manufacturer specs show no traction loss above 25 degrees; wheeled platforms begin to slip at 15-20 degrees.
