Appgefahren's hands-on test of the RockMow Z1 AWD (the Z130's series, fitted with the AWD-series edge cutting module) found that in practice the edge cut still leaves an unnecessary uncut rim, because the mower navigates cautiously and does not drive the line recorded during mapping: sent half onto an adjoining path, it would not put wheels on the stones and mowed only on the grass, with the same behavior along a fence. It parks itself in the station automatically, so the run itself needs nobody, but a person still trims the edge.

Within Europe the line sells through Roborock's own channels and European retailers, and the RTK reference station is fixed installed hardware. OperationDoes Z130 require a boundary wire?

No. RTK mapping during setup defines yard dimensions and terrain electronically. Virtual exclusion zones defined in mobile app. Manufacturer documentation confirms wire-free operation as core design choice.

OperationHow often must blades be replaced?

The Z130 carries six pivoting Endurance blades on its cutting disc. Roborock does not publish a fixed replacement interval; the blades are consumables replaced as a set when they dull or chip, and how fast that happens depends on grass type and on how much grit the lawn carries. Blades of this type are sold in multi-packs.

OperationDoes rain stop mowing?

Mowing continues in light rain. Roborock documents a rain sensor that detects precipitation and returns the mower to the charging station automatically; the session resumes on the next scheduled run once conditions clear. There is no soil-moisture threshold and no user-set rain delay.

OperationHow does obstacle detection work?

The Z130 uses Quad Vision, a four-camera vision system, to classify static objects, people and animals, and obstacles it can safely cross. There is no lidar on this model; Roborock’s lidar-equipped machine is the separate RockMow X1 LiDAR. Roborock publishes no detection rate, so small low-lying objects should still be cleared from the lawn before a session.
