Husqvarna Automower 410XE NERA

The 410XE is a mid-tier NERA model that ships on boundary wire and is EPOS-ready rather than EPOS-equipped: the wire-free kit and its sited reference station are a separate purchase. X-line additions are GPS tracking, with the SIM and ten years of connectivity included at no running cost, and headlights. Radar object detection, lift and tilt sensors and a geofence are standard.

Common questions

What people actually ask.

4 answered
OperationDoes the Automower 410XE NERA require a perimeter wire, or is EPOS virtual-boundary truly wireless?
The mower ships with boundary wire, and the wire is what defines the working area as delivered. EPOS is the wire-free option and is sold separately: the XE designation means EPOS-ready, not EPOS-included. Going wire-free means buying a Husqvarna EPOS kit and siting its reference station on the property where it has a clear view of the sky. Account for that before assuming a no-dig installation.
OperationHow does the GPS theft-tracking system work, and is there a monthly subscription?
There is no subscription. Automower Connect is free of charge, Husqvarna supplies the SIM with ten years of connectivity included, there is no separate contract with a mobile operator, and there are no running costs. Tracking and remote control run through the app over that connection.
OperationHow often do EPOS virtual boundaries need re-mapping?
When the yard changes, not on a schedule. EPOS boundaries are stored geometry held against a fixed reference station; they do not drift with the season, and Husqvarna documents no periodic re-verification, re-calibration or walk-around interval. Re-mapping in the app is unlimited and takes as long as the new geometry requires.
OperationWhat is the accuracy of EPOS positioning, and does it drift over the mowing season?
Husqvarna cites centimeter-level accuracy for EPOS. It does not drift across a season: the boundary is geometry referenced to a fixed station, so it holds until the station is moved or the owner redraws it. Landscape changes call for a redraw because the lawn moved, not because the positioning did.

Embed the Autonomy Ladder™ mark or copy the citation. The mark is served from this record rather than saved as a file, so it always shows the level we currently hold. If we reassess, it updates on your page by itself.

  • The mark must link to this record. An unlinked mark is not authorised.
  • No recolouring, cropping, rotating, restyling, or re-typesetting. Scale proportionally only, up to 2×: the seal to 536px wide, the standard to 224px.
  • Leave clear space equal to half the numeral tile on all sides: 32px on the seal, 22px on the standard.
  • The mark states a classification, not an endorsement. It may not appear beside language implying Robovations recommends, rates, or approves the product.
  • Hot-link the image from robovations.com. Do not download, self-host, proxy or re-upload it: a saved copy stops updating, and a mark that has stopped updating is a claim we no longer stand behind.
  • The mark is live. It reflects the classification on this record as it stands. If we reassess, it changes on your page automatically. If we withdraw the classification, it stops rendering. Nothing is required from you either way.
