What holds it at Level III
- The robot does not move between panes. Each window is a separate mount, run and dismount.
- It cannot leave the glass. At the end of a run, or at low power, it holds position and waits to be lifted off; Back to Start Point is an operator command, not a return-to-base behavior.
- Curved glass and heavily textured surfaces sit outside what the suction seal and edge sensing assume, and the machine gives no advance warning of a surface it cannot hold.
- The station must sit on a stable surface within the compound cable's reach of the pane, so placement is decided by a person for every session.

Ecovacs also provides insurance cover for damage caused by a loss of suction. Retrieval is manual: the robot is lifted off the glass by hand. Ecovacs publishes no rope inspection interval.
