Safety notes

CautionHot-water mop heating and extended arm: Dock heats water to 45-50C for mop wash. Touching mop pads immediately after heating can cause minor burns. Side-extend arm has pinch points during retraction.

NoteManual water tank refill requirement: Owner must refill tank before scheduled runs. Forgetting refills results in dry-mop operation or run cancellation. App notifications help but are not foolproof.

OperationHow effective is the side-extend mop arm compared to fixed-arm designs?
The arm pushes the mop pad out past the chassis, so the pad reaches into the edge where a fixed pad stops short of the wall. Dreame does not publish how far it extends, and no independent measurement of the edge-coverage difference is available. What it achieves along any given edge depends on what is parked against that wall.
OperationDoes the L40 Ultra dock auto-refill the water tank?
Yes. The station refills the robot’s onboard tank, cleaning solution included, from its own 4.5 L reservoir. That reservoir is the one the owner fills, roughly weekly in regular use. The station also washes and dries the pads and empties the robot’s bin into a bag in the base.
OperationWhat is the mop drying time in the dock?
Hot-air mop drying takes 30-45 minutes depending on humidity and how wet the pads are when the robot docks. Drying runs automatically at the end of a cycle while the robot sits on the station.
OperationDoes the side-extend mop arm work on hard floors and carpet equally?
On hard floors the arm extends and engages the mop pad fully. On carpet the pads lift, so the robot vacuums without dragging a wet pad across the pile. App-based no-mop zones remain available for thick carpet.
