OperationDoes the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 work on carpeted stairs?
No. The robot is wheeled and floor-bound; stairs are a hard stop, and its cliff sensors hold it back from a landing edge. Moving it between floors means carrying it. Dreame does not sell a second station for this model, so an upper floor runs without a station unless the station is moved as well.
CompatibilityCan I run the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 on a 2.4 GHz network separate from my 5 GHz primary network?
Yes, it pairs exclusively on 2.4 GHz. If your home uses only 5 GHz, you will need to enable a 2.4 GHz guest network or dual-band access point.
OperationHow often does the mop pad need cleaning on high-traffic areas?
The station washes the pads with hot water and dries them with hot air after every run, so routine pad washing is not an owner task. Pads still wear, and the set is replaced when they stop coming out of a wash cycle clean.
OperationIs the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 the same as the Gen 1 with more suction power?
Suction is the main change, and it is a large one: 10,000 Pa against 5,300 Pa on the 2022 L10s Ultra. Gen 2 also adds MopExtend, an arm that swings the mop pad past the chassis to reach edges. The station’s core behavior carries over from Gen 1, which already emptied the dustbin, refilled the robot’s water tank, and washed and dried the pads.
OperationHow often does the station's dust bag need replacing?
The station empties the robot into a disposable bag each time it docks. Dreame rates the bag at roughly 60 to 75 days in normal use, so this is a quarterly errand rather than a weekly one. Pet homes reach the end of a bag sooner.
