BLAST (Boosted Large-Airflow Suction Technology) is the distinction: a 100 W motor with a 45% larger impeller moving 16.3 L/s. The OMNI station is a 12-in-1 unit that auto-empties into a 3 L bag, washes the mops in 167F water, dries them with 113F air, refills from its 4 L tanks, doses detergent and senses dirty water. Yes, and Ecovacs points the machine at carpet rather than away from it. Cleaning runs Carpet-First, vacuuming carpet before mopping starts, and the mop lifts up to 18 mm when more carpet is found mid-run. Hair that reaches the brush is handled by ZeroTangle 2.0. BLAST is the suction airflow package behind it, not a pet attachment: a 100 W motor with a 45% larger impeller and a low-resistance duct moving 16.3 L/s, or 28 CFM against 21 CFM on the T50 Pro.
OperationDoes pet hair from the auto-empty cycle end up in the station's water system?
No. The two paths are physically separate: debris goes into a sealed 3 L bag and mop-wash water goes into its own dirty-water tank. Hair from the vacuum never reaches the water circuit, and a fault in the wash cycle does not stop the robot docking or charging.
OperationWhat happens when the T50 meets a raised threshold between rooms?
Ecovacs rates threshold crossing at 22 mm, the same on the T50 Max Pro and the T50 Pro. Transitions below that are climbed without help; anything taller stops the robot at the sill and needs a ramp or a separate cleaning run on the far side.
CompatibilityIs a perimeter wire or app setup required to use the dock's auto-empty and mop-wash?
Dock automation is always-on when the vacuum returns to dock; no app gating required. App is optional for scheduling map exclusions and monitoring.
