Dreame D10 Plus

LiDAR SLAM navigation at an entry price. The dock handles the dusty part; owners still empty a reservoir on the mop cartridge.

OWNERSHIP

Living with it.

Two years in market with consistent owner feedback; navigation remains stable across firmware updates, but dock mechanism shows occasional drainage blockage.

Stableowner-reported arc

The record so far

Owner reports span 2022-2024 with low failure rates on vacuum navigation. Dock auto-empty mechanism experiences clogging when debris is wet or compacted; mop cartridge mildew is documented in humid climates without proper drying. Firmware updates have not addressed these dock-specific issues.

What goes wrong4 documented · 0 self-recover
Common
Brush tangle from long hair or carpet fibersReduced suction and audible motor strain after 1-2 weeks on high-shedding carpet.
Owner fixWeekly manual brush cleaning; replace brush every 3-6 months ($12-18 per brush).
Occasional
Auto-empty fails; vacuum continues but dustbin backs up.
Owner fixClear debris from dock outlet; replace dust bag if torn. Check every 30 days.
Occasional
Mop cartridge mildew in humid climatesUnpleasant odor; reduced mopping effectiveness after 2-3 months.
Owner fixAir-dry cartridge fully between cycles. Replace every 8-12 weeks in humidity above 70%.
Rare
Wi-Fi dropout on edge of network rangeScheduled runs fail to launch; manual restart required via app.
Owner fixReposition dock closer to router or extend 2.4 GHz range with repeater.
Upkeep routine
Weekly52×/yr

Brush and side-brush manual cleaning to remove hair tangled around bristles.

Monthly12×/yr

Primary filter cleaning via rinse or light tap to restore suction.

Seasonal4×/yr

Replace the sealed dock ; Dreame rates the 2.5 L bag at about 45 days of typical use. Bags are sold in multipacks.

Main replacement when wear becomes visible (approximately $12-18 per brush).

Wash or replace the microfiber ; rinse and dry the water tank after mopping runs so it does not develop a mildew odor in humid climates.

Dock outlet and auto-empty channel inspection for debris blockage or moisture buildup.

Common questions

What people actually ask.

5 answered
OperationCan the D10 Plus handle both vacuuming and mopping in a single run?
No. The base is an auto-empty station and holds nothing but a dust bag; there is no mop hardware in it. Mopping means clipping the 145 ml water tank and its pad to the underside by hand before the run and taking the module off again before the robot reaches carpet. A scheduled run cannot vacuum first and mop second on its own.
OperationHow often does the dock bag need to be emptied or replaced?
The station’s 2.5 L bag is sealed, so it is replaced rather than emptied. Dreame rates it at about 45 days, on a stated assumption of a 120 m² session four times a week; heavier debris loads or larger runs shorten that, and hard floors extend it. Bags are sold in multipacks.
CompatibilityDoes the D10 Plus work with 5 GHz Wi-Fi?
No. The device requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Homes with 5 GHz-only mesh systems will need to enable a 2.4 GHz band for connection.
OperationWhat happens to navigation if the dock is moved to a different room?
Dreame’s material for the original D10 Plus does not state whether a stored map survives a dock relocation, or how many maps the robot keeps. The later Gen 2 model documents three saved plans, but nothing equivalent is published for this one. Map behavior after a dock move is unverified rather than settled in either direction.
OperationIs the mop cartridge washable or must it be replaced?
The microfiber pad is reusable and washes by hand; the 145 ml water tank it attaches to is a permanent part, not a consumable. Owner reports put pad life at 2-3 months of regular mopping before wear shows. Replacement pads are sold in multipacks.
