VibraRise 2.0 drives the dual pads up to 3,000 times per minute, delivering lateral agitation without flooding the floor. Roborock publishes no bacteria-reduction figure for this model. Owner reports describe strong results on sealed tile and vinyl; grout lines and textured surfaces stay well below what hand scrubbing achieves.
OperationWhat happens if the dock loses power or malfunctions?
Dock failure does not prevent autonomy. The vacuum returns but cannot auto-empty or wash pads. Manual emptying and cleaning revert to traditional processes. Roborock includes a 2-year dock warranty covering pump and motor failures.
OperationCan I use the mop function without the dock?
Yes. Manual water fill and pad placement work independently of dock operation. The dock simply automates these steps. Mopping autonomy remains L3 regardless.
OperationHow large is the dock, and where should it be placed?
The RockDock Ultra measures 426 x 513 x 449 mm, so it occupies roughly 43 by 45 cm of floor and stands about 51 cm tall. It needs a nearby outlet and a clear approach path for the robot, which usually means a wall run rather than a corner.
OperationWhat happens on stairs or level transitions?
Cliff sensors stop the robot at a drop edge, and they work whether or not the floor has been mapped. Obstacle avoidance is structured light and infrared, which handles objects in the path rather than drops. Dark floor transitions can trigger hesitation without a descent.
CompatibilityDoes the app require WiFi connectivity for every cleaning cycle?
No. Initial map upload and room-specific routine setup require WiFi. Subsequent cleaning cycles run autonomously without internet. Offline mode preserves full vacuum and mop function.
