Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni

The T20 adds 9 mm mop lifting and 131 F hot-water mop washing to the Omni station, and it is the first Deebot to carry mop lift at all. It drops the X1 Omni's camera for TrueDetect 3D laser obstacle detection, so nothing in the home is imaged. The station is the same box as the X1's, with the same 4 L clean and 4 L dirty tanks.

OperationHow does the T20's mop lifting differ from the X1 Omni, and which carpet types benefit?
The T20 lifts its mop pads 9 mm and is the first Deebot with the feature. The X1 Omni has no mop lift at all, so it cannot cross carpet with pads fitted. On low pile the T20 lifts and carries on; dense Berber and high pile sit above what a 9 mm lift clears.
OperationWhat is the hot-water temperature, and can owners disable it to save electricity?
Ecovacs specifies 131 F (55 C) for the T20 Omni’s mop washing. The temperature cannot be changed, but owners can select mop-wash frequency in the app, for example every 2-3 runs instead of every run.
OwnershipHow often do water tanks need refilling, and what do consumables cost?
The station holds 4 L clean and 4 L dirty, and Ecovacs rates one clean-tank fill at up to 4,300 sq ft of mopping, so refill cadence follows mopped area rather than a calendar. Consumables are the dust bag, filters, mop pads and brushes. Ecovacs publishes no all-in annual consumable figure.
OperationDoes the T20 support multi-floor mapping like the X1, and how many floors can be stored?
Yes, LiDAR supports up to 4 independent floor maps. Transitions are manual; the robot will not autonomously move between floors.
OperationHow big is the T20 Omni station, and will it fit in a closet?
The station measures 448 x 430 x 578 mm, about 17.6 x 16.9 inches on the floor and 22.8 inches tall. That is the same box as the X1 Omni’s station, not a smaller one. A standard 24-inch closet takes the footprint, but check the door swing and leave the front clear for the robot to drive in.
