Modern Castle's 14-test bench run reports 97.3% debris removal across all floor types and that the T20 "returned to base every time," where the dock empties the bin, washes and dries the pads and refills the water. Digital Reviews Network, running it in a multi-pet household, found the onboard 300ml bin filled with dog fur and the dock "wouldn't always clear all of this dog hair from the vacuum 'hose'," so the robot ended up "simply pushing the dirt and hair around with the brushes," and the owner had to empty the bin and hose path by hand.

The T20 lifts its mop pads 9 mm and is the first Deebot with the feature. The X1 Omni has no mop lift at all, so it cannot cross carpet with pads fitted. On low pile the T20 lifts and carries on; dense Berber and high pile sit above what a 9 mm lift clears.

Ecovacs specifies 131 F (55 C) for the T20 Omni’s mop washing. The temperature cannot be changed, but owners can select mop-wash frequency in the app, for example every 2-3 runs instead of every run.
