OperationDoes the Ozmo 950 map multiple floors independently?
Yes. The unit stores separate LiDAR maps for each floor in memory. Room-level selection works across floors, but the robot must be manually carried between levels, no automatic multi-floor climbing.
OperationWhat is the actual mopping pad lifespan?
Owner reports document 8-12 months of weekly-use before drag pile wear reduces effectiveness. Replacement pads cost ~$20 per pair; Ecovacs bundles three pairs yearly for ~$60.
OperationHow much mopping does one tank of water cover?
The 240 ml reservoir clips to the back of the robot and is filled by hand; the base carries no water. Flow is electronically metered, and in independent testing the robot mopped an 80 sq m (about 860 sq ft) apartment with roughly a third of the tank left, against a 200 minute battery.
OperationDoes the mop lift when the robot reaches carpet?
No. The pad sits on a fixed plate that clips to the underside of the water tank. Set no-mop zones in the app or remove the mop module before a run that crosses carpet or rugs.
CompatibilityIs the Ozmo 950 compatible with newer Wi-Fi protocols?
No. The robot requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band. Networks broadcasting 5 GHz only will not complete setup.
OperationWhat navigation system does it use?
LiDAR-based simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), same as Roborock’s competing models. Allows room-by-room targeting and multi-floor memory.
