Ecovacs Deebot T9+

Distinguishing capability is TrueMapping, a LiDAR-based navigation system for precise coverage, paired with TrueDetect 3D obstacle detection for cords, shoes and clutter. The T9+ stores a separate map per floor and recognizes which one it is on when the robot is carried between levels. Mopping runs through OZMO Pro 2.0, an oscillating plate rated at 480 vibrations per minute across four water levels. An air freshener capsule on the robot releases scent into the room as it cleans.

ComparisonWhat is TrueMapping, and how does it handle a home with more than one floor?
TrueMapping is Ecovacs’ laser navigation and mapping system. It maps the floor the robot is on, stores that map, and recognizes it when the robot is placed on that level again. Each floor is mapped on its own run; the robot cannot reach another level by itself.
OperationCan the T9+ handle a home with 4+ floors?
Multiple maps can be stored and recalled. Each level has to be mapped once, with the robot carried there; after that it identifies which level it is on. Mapping runs on the robot itself, so it does not depend on Wi-Fi coverage upstairs.
OperationWhat does the air freshener cartridge actually do?
A capsule module on the robot releases fragrance into the room as it cleans, in three scents. It is not mixed into the mop water and is not tied to mopping cycles. Ecovacs rates one capsule at up to 60 days.
OwnershipDoes the air freshener cartridge clog the dock or dock filter?
The capsule sits in its own chamber on the robot, separate from the dust and water paths, so nothing from it passes through the station’s suction route.
OperationHow does the T9+ handle navigation if the internet drops mid-run?
Mapping and navigation run on the robot, so a Wi-Fi dropout does not erase a stored map or stop a run in progress. App control, scheduling and map editing are unavailable until the connection returns.
