Digital Trends found it 'kind of intermittent in its cleaning abilities. Sometimes it cleaned really well. Other times, it didn't', missing part of a red wine spill and scattering a dry oat spill with the corner brush and never returning to vacuum it. AppleInsider lists 'Cannot mop and vacuum at the same time' as a con because the mop heads have to be swapped by hand for the dustbin, so a person routinely finishes the job even though the robot re-docks, recharges and resumes on its own.

It spins the pads against a ribbed tray while spraying clean water from the 3.5 L tank, then pumps the runoff into a matching 3.5 L waste tank. The water is not heated and no detergent is dosed, so the cycle controls odor and loose grime between runs rather than lifting set stains.

OperationWhat if I move to a house with thick carpet; can I disable mopping?

Yes. App settings allow vacuum-only mode; mop is stored in dock. This disables auto-mop cycles but does not reduce vacuum performance. Scheduling includes ‘vacuum-only days’ option.
