The 600 is the small-lawn entry to the SILENO free range and carries the same wire-free premise as the 800: satellite positioning in place of a buried perimeter, with the cutting unit moved to the rear so the machine can turn and cut the edge. What it does not carry is an RTK correction station, so the boundary it holds is a satellite geofence rather than a centimeter-accurate line.

A mower that needs retrieving daily is not finishing its job unattended whatever its cutting quality, and the human is in the loop every single cycle rather than occasionally. That is below the 50 state.

CompatibilityDoes the Gardena smart SILENO free 600 need a boundary wire?

No. Gardena documents satellite-based positioning with a virtual boundary drawn in the app. That removes the wire-burial step entirely, and also removes the physical fallback a wire provides when the satellite fix degrades.

OperationHow is the 600 different from the SILENO free 800?

Rated lawn area. The 600 covers up to 600 square meters, the 800 up to 800. Both use the same wire-free satellite positioning and the same rear twin-disc cutting unit.

OperationCan it be bought in the United States?

Not as of this assessment. Gardena lists the SILENO free range on its international and European sites only, with a euro list price.
