Dreame X40 Master

A 12,000 Pa vacuum with dual spinning mop pads on a base station that plumbs into a cold water line and a drain. The base carries no water tanks: it draws clean water and discharges waste on its own, which is how Dreame keeps the station to 11 inches tall. The trade-off is that placement is fixed to wherever a supply line and drain are reachable.

OperationDoes the X40 Master need to be connected to plumbing?
Yes. The base station connects to a cold water supply line and a drain, and manages refill and wastewater itself. That connection is what separates it from the X40 Ultra, whose base uses removable tanks, and it decides where the station can stand.
OperationDoes the X40 Master pick up spills and standing liquid?
No. It is a dry vacuum with spinning mop pads and collects no liquid. Running it across a spill or a pet accident spreads the liquid and draws it into the brush and dust path. Clean liquid up before the robot runs.
OwnershipWhat water maintenance does the base need?
There are no tanks to fill, empty or clean. Water arrives through the supply line and waste leaves through the drain. Dreame publishes no descaling interval or pump service schedule for the station.
