No. Grass-sensor navigation detects lawn edges and triggers return-to-base when it crosses non-grass terrain. Physical perimeter boundaries (fences, walls) provide the actual yard definition; wire is optional.

OwnershipHow does random-path navigation affect coverage uniformity?

Coverage is random by design. High-traffic areas near the dock may receive frequent cuts; distant corners may be skipped for days or weeks. Uniform coverage is not guaranteed; coverage is probabilistic.

OperationCan the L60 Elite be scheduled to run on a timer?

Ambrogio lists remote management and control through the Ambrogio Remote app over Bluetooth, on iOS and Android, along with over-the-air firmware updates and an Eco mode. Ambrogio also states that its models set their own working pattern rather than following a fixed owner timetable. Bluetooth range makes app control a proximity function rather than a remote one. Manual start and stop control on the machine remains available.

OperationWhat is the grass-sensor range and how does it detect lawn boundaries?

Ambrogio publishes no detection radius for the grass sensor. The ZGS sensors read humidity from underneath the deck, so they register whether the machine is currently over grass rather than sensing a boundary at a distance. Crossing from grass onto a hard surface such as a driveway or patio triggers the boundary response. The published geometry constraints are different quantities: a minimum passage width of about 35 cm with the grass sensor on, and a non-grass border wide enough for the machine to stop and reverse. Dense overgrowth can confuse the sensor.

OperationDoes the L60 Elite collect clippings?

No. It is a mulching mower with no collection box, basket, hopper or chute. The 4-point-start blade cuts a 25 cm width and shreds clippings fine enough that they fall back into the lawn, so there is nothing to empty. Mulching depends on frequent short cuts; letting the grass run long between sessions leaves visible clippings sitting on the surface.
