OperationWhen will XPENG Iron ship to consumers?
XPeng has published a production timeline but not a consumer ship date. At its AI Day in Guangzhou on 5 November 2025 XPeng stated that IRON enters mass production by the end of 2026. It produced a first prototype built to automotive standards in January 2026, and has since given a target of more than 1,000 units per month by the end of 2026, ahead of a 2027 global rollout. No consumer pre-order window and no price have been published.
OperationWhat is the expected price for XPENG Iron?
XPeng has not disclosed pricing, and no comparable published figure supports an estimate. Full-size humanoids in this class are not sold at published consumer prices. The legged robots that are sold openly, such as Boston Dynamics Spot at $74,500 for the base configuration since 2020, are a different class of machine: Spot is a quadruped inspection robot, not a humanoid. Any price expectation for IRON would be speculation.
OperationCan XPENG Iron operate fully autonomously without a human operator?
Company demonstrations show scripted task execution in controlled environments. Teleoperator fallback is documented and appears necessary for unplanned scenarios. Truly autonomous household operation has not been demonstrated.

Direct performance comparisons on shipping hardware are not yet possible for either machine. Boston Dynamics Spot is sometimes grouped with them and should not be: it is a quadruped inspection robot, commercially sold since 2020 at $74,500 for the base configuration.
