OperationHow does mopping work on the L70 Hybrid, and can it mop a room with carpet in it?
The mopping module is a water tank with a cloth on its underside that clips into the base of the robot. There is no lift mechanism; if the module is fitted, the cloth is on the floor. eufy’s manual says not to use mopping mode on a carpeted floor and recommends setting a No-Mop zone, and it has the owner remove the module when the run is done.
OperationCan the L70 Hybrid vacuum and mop on the same run?
Yes. With the module fitted it vacuums and the cloth trails on the same pass, which works on sealed hard floors and is why carpet needs a No-Mop zone. For vacuum-only work, take the module out; that is the whole of the difference between the two modes.
OperationWhat happens to mapped zones if I move the dock between rooms?
Only one map is stored. Moving the base within the same floor changes where runs start and end and the robot works from the existing map; moving it to a different floor replaces that map, so each level has to be remapped on every switch. This model does not hold a second floor plan.
OperationHow do I clean the mopping cloth?
By hand. The L70 Hybrid charges on a plain base with no wash function of any kind. eufy’s manual has the owner rinse the cloth with water and let it air-dry completely before the next run.
CompatibilityDoes the L70 Hybrid support Amazon or Google Home integration?
Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are both supported directly. eufy’s product listing states it and the owner’s manual covers the two setups side by side; no IFTTT bridge is involved. The eufy app remains the primary control method.
OwnershipWhat is the actual mop-pad replacement cost and lifespan?
Replacement pads cost ~$15 per pair, lasting 100-150 uses before fibers fray. Heavy use households report monthly replacement cycles; light-use homes achieve 2-3 month intervals.
