eufy Robot Lawn Mower E15

Removing the wire moves the boundary into software. Nothing is buried and boundaries are edited in the app, but confinement now depends on the camera resolving the lawn edge, so light, contrast and edge definition matter where a buried wire would not have cared.

Vision-based navigation is unproven at scale. Camera obstacle detection is documented in controlled demos, but 2025 release means seasonal-cycle field data is absent. Edge-case handling (winter dormancy, rain, sudden obstacles) remains unknown.

Mammotion Yuka Mini

Two batteries under one name. The 600 carries a 2.4 Ah pack and mows up to 55 minutes; the 800 carries a 6.1 Ah pack and mows up to 150. Both dock, recharge and resume unattended, so the smaller pack lengthens the session rather than adding an intervention.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

Dense tree canopy or heavily shaded properties
Vision navigation requires consistent lighting and clear lawn-edge definition; dense shade or tree cover degrades camera accuracy and navigation reliability. Wooded properties or homes with mature trees overhead should evaluate carefully.
Complex or terraced landscapes requiring wire-assisted confinement
Virtual boundaries rely on vision mapping accuracy; complex yard geometries with islands, ponds, or multi-zone layouts may be difficult to define precisely. Wire-based competitors offer physical confinement guarantees that vision navigation cannot match.
Lawns larger than the rated 800 sq m
800 sq m (0.2 acre, about 8,600 sq ft) is the rated ceiling. Past that the answer is a mower with a higher rating, not a second dock; the E15 works from one station and returns to it between charges.
Buyers who want several seasons of field data before committing
The E15 reached market in 2025, so there is limited public record of how vision navigation holds up across a full year of growth, weather and firmware revisions.
Mammotion Yuka Mini
Yards beyond the model's rated area
The 600 is rated for 600 m2, about 6,460 sq ft, and the 800 for 800 m2, about 8,610 sq ft. Past the rating the constraint is total coverage rather than session length, and a larger platform answers it better than more sessions.
Yards under heavy tree canopy
Positioning comes from NetRTK satellite correction, so sky view is what matters. Dense canopy or a walled courtyard that blocks the sky can degrade positioning; ambient brightness and time of day do not.
Owners who need a verified pass-to-pass accuracy figure
Mammotion states centimeter-level positioning through free NetRTK. Robovations has not verified pass alignment on this platform, and Mammotion publishes no pass-to-pass tolerance. Owners whose expectations rest on a measured figure have none to work from.

What stays your job

  • Weekly: Inspect the camera lens for dirt, water spots or grass film and wipe clean. This is the navigation sensor, so a dirty lens is a navigation fault.
  • Every 4-6 weeks: Replace the blades. Robot mower blades are replaced as a set, never sharpened: grinding weakens the protective coating and leaves an unbalanced part spinning unattended. eufy does not publish a part price.
  • Seasonally: Firmware updates via app; redraw virtual boundaries if the yard layout changes.
  • As needed: Clear grass buildup from wheels and deck; redraw boundaries after landscaping work.
Mammotion Yuka Mini
  • Weekly: Camera lens and sensor cleaning to keep obstacle and edge detection accurate in pollen-heavy regions.
  • Blade changes: Inspect the pivoting blades whenever you clean the deck and replace them once edges are dull or chipped. They are flip-and-replace consumables sold in multi-packs, and Mammotion ships six spares with the mower. Replace rather than sharpen: grinding thins the steel and unbalances the disc on a machine that runs unattended.
  • Dock contact cleaning: Weekly inspection and cleaning to maintain consistent charging connection.
  • Monthly: Undercarriage inspection for grass clipping buildup; blow out with compressed air.
  • Seasonally: Indoor storage in freezing climates, with the pack left charged rather than run down. Battery health check before spring operation; sensor calibration before first mow if the mower was dormant over winter.
