All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | S20 Infinity Ultra | Deebot T20 Omni |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodCapable but exceeds what compact homes typically require. Stain-targeting and flagship dock overkill for minimal soiling. | GoodCapable but dock requires dedicated space; smaller water tanks mean frequent refills on compact layouts. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodMulti-room scheduling and LiDAR mapping well-suited. Stain-targeting useful for daily traffic areas. | GoodRuntime and dock capacity align well; ideal for this size range with multi-floor mapping support. |
| Over 3,000they differ | GoodMulti-floor mapping and zone scheduling handle sprawling layouts. Single-session coverage depends on room count and route optimization. | DependsCoverage achievable but requires large home divided into 2-3 runs; water-tank capacity is limiting. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodMop pads and stain-jet nozzles perform well on tile and sealed wood. Dock water management standard. | GoodHot-water wash and AIVI 3D excel on hard floors; mop lift prevents water pooling. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodLiDAR and mop lift handle low pile effectively. Stain-targeting useful for ground-in traffic paths. | GoodLiDAR reads low-pile carpet well; 10.5mm mop lift enables autonomous crossing. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | DependsOwner reports from related models document suction loss on shag and high-pile. Mop function redundant on thick carpet. | PoorOwner reports document reduced effectiveness and brush tangles on high-pile and Berber carpet. |
| Mopping needs | ||

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Charge time.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
You are paying flagship money for a vacuum-mop hybrid where the FocusJet pre-spray remains unproven in field conditions. The station otherwise mirrors established self-empty and self-wash designs; the novel part has no multi-month owner track record.
The pressurized spray system adds station failure modes absent from simpler self-empty vacuums: two atomizing nozzles that can clog, and a solution circuit to keep clear. Periodic nozzle inspection joins the routine.
Hot-water wash adds cleaning capability but not autonomy because the dock cycle is 2-3 hours; autonomous operation remains scheduled, not on-demand.
TrueDetect 3D replaces the X1 Omni’s camera, which takes in-home imaging off the machine but also removes camera-based object recognition; obstacle detection is laser-only.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
