SwitchBot K10+ Pro price reduced as K10+ Pro Combo enters market
SwitchBot adjusted the K10+ Pro retail price downward in autumn 2025 as the K10+ Pro Combo (a separate bundle SKU introduced at IFA 2024 and available from November 2024) occupied a higher price point in the lineup.

Autonomy LadderIIIIIIIVVLevel IIIConditional AutonomyHuman ReadinessReady NowNew to MarketWaitKnown IssuesRobovations Score04055708570StrongWhat happenedThe standalone K10+ Pro is not discontinued; it continues as the vacuum-only configuration. Ongoing consumable costs and dust bag availability at the revised price level are the next practical checkpoints for prospective owners.
Bottom lineThe price adjustment is a commercial repositioning rather than a capability change; the K10+ Pro vacuum-only configuration continues unchanged.
ImpactOn autonomy
- No change to navigation or autonomy capabilities with this commercial adjustment
- Hardware specification unchanged from launch configuration
On readiness
- Lower entry price reduces upfront cost barrier for the auto-empty vacuum-only configuration
- Mop and wash features remain exclusive to the separately SKU'd K10+ Pro Combo

Technical notes3 sectionsCommercial Repositioning
The K10+ Pro price reduction reflects the market position of the K10+ Pro Combo, which was introduced at IFA 2024 and began shipping in November 2024 as a distinct retail SKU priced at $800. The Combo adds a mop attachment and a redesigned dock with water management; those features are not present in the standalone K10+ Pro and are not delivered via update to existing units.
Hardware Continuity
The K10+ Pro hardware specification is unchanged with this pricing update: 248mm diameter chassis, LiDAR navigation, auto-empty dock with dustbag collection. Firmware version at time of price adjustment is consistent with the software update cycle established post-launch; no concurrent firmware release was documented alongside the price change.
Consumable Compatibility
Dust bags for the K10+ Pro auto-empty dock are SwitchBot-branded consumables. Compatibility with K10+ Pro Combo dock bags has not been confirmed by manufacturer documentation; owners of the standalone model should verify bag SKU before purchasing replacement packs marketed for the Combo.

SwitchBot K10+ Pro adds Matter and Google Home integration via app update
SwitchBot extended Matter support and Google Home integration to the K10+ Pro, routing connectivity through a SwitchBot Hub (Hub Mini or Hub 2) acting as a Matter bridge.

Autonomy LadderIIIIIIIVVLevel IIIConditional AutonomyHuman ReadinessReady NowNew to MarketWaitKnown IssuesRobovations Score↑ moved by this entry04055708570StrongWhat happenedThe update allows users already in Google Home or Apple Home ecosystems to trigger cleaning routines without switching to the SwitchBot app for every command. Depth of scene and automation support within third-party platforms, and whether multi-floor map access is exposed outside the native app, are the practical limits to verify.
Bottom lineThe Matter update meaningfully broadens compatible ecosystems; the practical scope is limited to basic commands rather than full app-equivalent control.
ImpactOn autonomy
- Matter bridge enables platform-agnostic voice control without additional hub hardware
- Scheduling triggers now callable from Google Home routines, extending automation surface area
On readiness
- Owners in Google or Apple ecosystems can integrate the vacuum without a dedicated SwitchBot hub
- Full map management and zone editing remain native-app-only per manufacturer documentation

Works with any smart home platform via Matter
Documented findingMatter connectivity for the base K10+ Pro requires a SwitchBot Hub (Hub Mini or Hub 2) acting as the Matter bridge; full feature parity with the SwitchBot app is not provided through Matter; zone and map control remain app-dependentNo hub required for Matter
Documented findingSwitchBot Hub Mini or Hub 2 serves as the Matter bridge; the vacuum itself does not connect directly to Matter without the hub in the documented setupSeamless ecosystem integration

Technical notes3 sectionsSoftware Update Scope
The update delivering Matter support was distributed through the SwitchBot app update cycle. The K10+ Pro firmware receives cloud-pushed updates via the SwitchBot infrastructure; no standalone firmware file download is documented for this model.
Matter Bridge Architecture
Matter connectivity for SwitchBot vacuums routes through a SwitchBot Hub (Hub Mini or Hub 2) acting as the Matter bridge. The hub must be on the same account and local network. Direct Thread or Wi-Fi Matter without the hub is not documented for this product.
Third-Party Platform Scope
Confirmed integrations at update date: Google Home (start, stop, return to dock), Apple Home (basic controls via Matter). Amazon Alexa integration was available through the SwitchBot Alexa skill prior to this update and remains separate from the Matter pathway. Zone-based cleaning commands via third-party platforms are not exposed through the Matter interface.

Autonomy LadderIIIIIIIVVLevel IIIConditional AutonomyHuman Readinessmoved by this entryReady NowNew to MarketWaitKnown IssuesRobovations Score04055708570StrongWhat happenedThe combination of a sub-250mm footprint and a self-emptying station positions it against full-size competitors in households with furniture clearance constraints. Software update cadence and real-world suction consistency in compact mode are the next signals to monitor.
Bottom lineThe commercial release delivers on the core compact-body premise; ecosystem breadth and software maturity require follow-up assessment over subsequent quarters.
ImpactOn autonomy
- LiDAR-based mapping enables room-level zone scheduling without manual boundary setup
- Compact 248mm body allows navigation under furniture standard vacuums cannot access
On readiness
- Commercial availability established: unit ships with auto-empty dock included
- SwitchBot app required for full setup; no third-party voice assistant needed for basic scheduling

Hardware at Release
The K10+ Pro ships with a 248mm diameter chassis, LiDAR navigation module, and an auto-empty dock. The dock collects debris into a dustbag; manufacturer specifications list the bag capacity but do not publish a standardized fill-cycle count. Suction power is manufacturer-rated; no independent Pa verification was published at launch.
Navigation Architecture
LiDAR-SLAM mapping is the documented navigation method. The robot generates a floor plan on first run and supports multi-floor map storage via the SwitchBot app. Room segmentation and zone cleaning are supported at release.
Dock Integration
The auto-empty dock is included in the standard retail bundle at launch. Dock connection uses a proprietary charging and debris-transfer interface. No mop wash or water management features are present in this model.
