iRobot ownership transfers to contract manufacturer Picea through prepackaged Chapter 11
iRobot entered a Restructuring Support Agreement on December 14, 2025 with Shenzhen Picea Robotics and Santrum Hong Kong (collectively Picea), its secured lender and primary contract manufacturer, and filed a prepackaged Chapter 11 the same day. The plan was confirmed January 22, 2026 and became effective January 23, 2026, converting roughly $254 million of Picea's claims into equity and transferring 100 percent ownership to Picea. The Combo 10 Max continues in retail, but firmware update cadence, warranty fulfillment, iRobot cloud-service continuity, and dock-component parts supply now depend on the new owner's roadmap. Watch for Picea's public support commitments and any changes to the cloud infrastructure the robot requires for scheduling and multi-floor mapping.
