Dreame X60 Ultra Extreme vs Ecovacs Deebot Neo 4.0: how they differ

One dock does the upkeep: it empties the bin, washes the mop pads in hot water and dries them. The other only charges, so the owner handles the pad and the bin.

Low on a kitchen floor: the black Dreame X60 Ultra Extreme sits in its tall black-glass dock with thin steam rising from the bay, while nearer, at the foot of the island, the Ecovacs Neo 4.0 backs onto a charging base barely taller than itself.

Dock by dock

Two docks, two upkeep routines

Only the Dreame dock does more than charge: it empties the bin into a bag, washes the pads on a washboard heated up to 212°F and dries them with hot air. The Neo 4.0 base charges only, so the pad and the 350 mL bin are cleaned by hand. Neither robot is in its maker's US store.

Dock jobs, tanks and sizes come from each maker's own pages, read on 24 Oct 2026. The Neo 4.0 dock and pad care come from three hands-on reviews, because Ecovacs' page lists no specification table. US availability was checked in each maker's US store.

Questions

What readers ask

Does the Neo 4.0 dock empty the dustbin?

Reviews of the Neo 4.0 describe a charging-only base about 3.9 in tall. The 350 mL bin is emptied by hand. Ecovacs’ Australian page also uses the words compact OMNI station, so check the box contents before buying.

Is the X60 Ultra Extreme's 212°F wash temperature independently confirmed?

No independent test was found. Dreame states its washboard heats to up to 212°F under its own laboratory conditions, then dries the pads with hot air. No drying temperature is printed.

Can I buy either robot in the US today?

Not from the makers’ US stores as of 24 Oct 2026. The X60 Ultra Extreme launched in Singapore on 1 Sep 2026, and the Neo 4.0 is sold in Australia, including through ALDI.
