Polaris 9450 Sport

The 7-day timer is the only scheduling interface: no remote start, no app override, no on-demand cycle without a manual power reset.

Systematic gyroscopic navigation covers the pool methodically, but the 60-foot cable imposes a hard 50-foot pool-length limit; larger pools require a longer-cable model.

Wybot C1

Cordless operation removes the cable and swivel of a tethered cleaner at the cost of a bounded battery cycle: the machine runs up to 150 minutes, parks itself at the wall, and waits to be lifted out and charged rather than drawing power continuously.

Above-ground pool owners
Manufacturer specifies in-ground pools only. Drive track configuration and cable management are designed for in-ground shapes. Above-ground pool walls and entry points are not supported by the drive system.
Pools longer than 50 feet
The 60-foot swivel cable constrains operational radius. Pools exceeding 50 feet in length may not receive full systematic coverage in a single 90-minute cycle, leaving uncleaned zones.
Owners requiring remote or on-demand spot cleaning
The 9450 has no handheld remote and no app trigger. Cleaning runs only per the 7-day timer or a manual power cycle. The step-up 9550 Sport adds a handheld remote for on-demand control.
Owners wanting Wi-Fi scheduling or app-based monitoring
No iAquaLink, no Wi-Fi module, no companion app of any kind. The programmable timer is the sole scheduling method. A networked pool-cleaner alternative is required if app connectivity is a priority.
Pools without a 120V GFCI outlet near the pool edge
The control unit requires a 120V GFCI outlet. Pools without this outlet require electrical work before installation. Cordless robotic pool cleaners are the alternative for sites without accessible GFCI power.

Wybot rates the C1 by surface area, up to 1,615 square feet. Larger pools take more than one cycle per clean, and each cycle ends with the machine coming out of the water to charge.
Owners wanting a cleaner that lives in the pool
The C1 runs a scheduled cycle, parks at the wall and comes out to charge. It is not a permanently installed or continuously powered cleaner that stays in the water between cycles.
Pools under heavy leaf and debris load
Capacity is bounded by the onboard filter, which is rinsed between cycles. Pools with steady leaf fall need skimming or a larger-capacity cleaner rather than a repeat cycle.

  • After every use: Remove unit via Easy Lift System, rinse 5L top-load canister under garden hose, reinsert canister before storage.
  • After every use: Lay cable out flat or coil loosely to prevent set-in tangles before next cycle.
  • Monthly: Inspect drive tracks for debris embedding or visible wear; rinse track channels clean.
  • Every 3-6 months: Inspect swivel cable along full 60-foot length for kinks, cracks, or connector wear.
  • Every 3-6 months: Inspect scrubbing brush for wear and replace if waterline scrubbing effectiveness has declined.
  • Seasonally: Drain and dry unit before off-season storage; do not store with water in the internal chambers.
  • As needed: Reprogram the 7-day timer after power outages or daylight-saving-time changes.
Wybot C1
  • After every cycle: Remove and rinse the filter with fresh water and clear the intake before the next run. Rinse the machine itself with fresh water after use in a saltwater pool.
  • Every charge: Charge the machine out of the water on a hard surface clear of combustibles, using the supplied charger and never an extension cord. The receptacle must be GFCI protected, which is a code requirement for outlets near a pool rather than an option.
  • Weekly: Clean the brush and the waterline contact surfaces to remove algae film and chemical residue.
  • Every 3-6 months: Inspect the drive brushes for wear and replace them when they stop making consistent contact.
  • Annually: Replace the filter media if flow has dropped or the material has degraded.
  • Storage: Charge the pack before storing the machine for the season and keep it out of direct sun. Store it charged, not flat.
