MOVA E50 Ultra · Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50

All robot vacuums. Every measure below is plotted against the full class, so a difference can be read against how much the class itself varies.

01 Classification

What each one does on its own.

The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.

V
Generalized
Any task, any setting
IV
Environmental
Handles new obstacles without help
III
Conditional
Finishes familiar jobs on its own

02 Assessment

Where they actually differ.

The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

03 Measured against the class

How far apart is a long way?

A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track below is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.

04 Ownership

What the numbers leave out.

The trade-off

What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.

MOVA E50 Ultra

A lower price than the E50 Pro Ultra keeps the same robot, while the dock rinses with unheated water and doses no detergent.

vybe.ch found navigation around decor reliable, and thin cables and chair legs still caught it.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50

The dock soaks and scrubs the pads for you, but it skips the hot-air drying the H50 Pro adds.

Carpet mop lifting keeps rugs dry, while it only triggers in carpet zones you set in the app, per Xiaomi.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

MOVA E50 Ultra
Homes with high door thresholds
vybe.ch's roughly 3 cm thresholds needed ramps, and the robot still got stuck trying the sill beside them.
Open-slatted or gapped floors
Sitegeek's slatted upper floor set off the cliff sensors so mapping could not be finished there.
Floors with loose cables
On its first run in vybe.ch's test it pulled in thin speaker cables.
Owners who want heated pad washing or detergent dosing
The dock rinses with unheated water, and Sitegeek notes cleaning solution is poured into the clean tank by hand.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50
US buyers wanting domestic retail and support
Xiaomi sells the H50 in Singapore, Malaysia, the UK and the EU, with no US listing announced.
Homes with thick rugs or tall thresholds
Xiaomi rates obstacle crossing at 20 mm, and the mop pads lift only 10 mm, in carpet zones set in the app.
Buyers who want hot-air mop drying
HardwareZone notes the H50 station does not support hot-air drying; Xiaomi reserves that for the H50 Pro.
Buyers who want independent test results first
No independent cleaning, navigation or reliability test of this model has been published.

What stays your job

The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.

MOVA E50 Ultra
  • After every use: Empty and rinse the 4.5 L dirty water tank; vybe.ch found it smelled after two weeks unemptied.
  • As needed: Refill the 5 L clean water tank and add cleaning solution by hand, per Sitegeek.
  • As needed: Replace the 3.2 L dust bag, which lasts up to 100 days per MOVA.
  • As needed: Replace mop pads, side brushes and the dustbin filter; MOVA sells E50 series packs.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50
  • As needed: Refill the 4 L clean water tank and empty the 4 L dirty water tank.
  • As needed: Replace the station’s disposable dust bag, which Xiaomi says lasts up to 75 days.
  • As needed: Rinse the station’s detachable filter and check the self-cleaning washboard.
  • As needed: Replace the mop pads, main brush, side brush and dust compartment filter as they wear.
05 Evidence

How much each of these is standing on.

Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.
