MOVA E50 Ultra · MOVA S70 Pro Roller

All robot vacuums. Every measure below is plotted against the full class, so a difference can be read against how much the class itself varies.

Up to three

01 Classification

What each one does on its own.

The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.

V
Generalized
Any task, any setting
IV
Environmental
Handles new obstacles without help
III
Conditional
Finishes familiar jobs on its own

02 Assessment

Where they actually differ.

The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

03 Measured against the class

How far apart is a long way?

A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track below is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.

04 Ownership

What the numbers leave out.

The trade-off

What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.

MOVA E50 Ultra

A lower price than the E50 Pro Ultra keeps the same robot, while the dock rinses with unheated water and doses no detergent.

vybe.ch found navigation around decor reliable, and thin cables and chair legs still caught it.

MOVA S70 Pro Roller

Hard-floor mopping and vacuuming scored top marks in I’mTech’s test, while carpet edges and corners were left uncleaned.

The turretless dToF sensor keeps the robot 91.5 mm tall, and I’mTech saw it dither while finding its bearings.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

MOVA E50 Ultra
Homes with high door thresholds
vybe.ch's roughly 3 cm thresholds needed ramps, and the robot still got stuck trying the sill beside them.
Open-slatted or gapped floors
Sitegeek's slatted upper floor set off the cliff sensors so mapping could not be finished there.
Floors with loose cables
On its first run in vybe.ch's test it pulled in thin speaker cables.
Owners who want heated pad washing or detergent dosing
The dock rinses with unheated water, and Sitegeek notes cleaning solution is poured into the clean tank by hand.
MOVA S70 Pro Roller
Deep or long-pile carpet
I'mTech rates carpet vacuuming up to 10 mm pile only and saw it miss carpet edges and corners.
Owners who never want to clean the roller
After four test homes, I'mTech found the roller and the area under it needed washing by hand.
Cupboards with tight top clearance
The dock stands 496 mm tall and needs about 300 mm above it to lift out the water tanks, per I'mTech.
Buyers who want voice assistant control
I'mTech found no Alexa, Google, Siri or Matter support.

What stays your job

The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.

MOVA E50 Ultra
  • After every use: Empty and rinse the 4.5 L dirty water tank; vybe.ch found it smelled after two weeks unemptied.
  • As needed: Refill the 5 L clean water tank and add cleaning solution by hand, per Sitegeek.
  • As needed: Replace the 3.2 L dust bag, which lasts up to 100 days per MOVA.
  • As needed: Replace mop pads, side brushes and the dustbin filter; MOVA sells E50 series packs.
MOVA S70 Pro Roller
  • After every use: Empty the 4.5 L dirty water tank, per I’mTech.
  • As needed: Refill the 5 L clean water tank and the 600 ml detergent tank.
  • As needed: Hand-wash the roller and roller bay; I’mTech found this necessary after four test homes.
  • As needed: Replace the 3.2 L dust bag, about every 2-4 months per I’mTech.
  • Every 3-6 months: Replace side brushes and the robot dustbin filter, per I’mTech.
  • As needed: Replace the roller mop every 1-3 months and the CleanChop main brush every 6-12 months, per I’mTech.
05 Evidence

How much each of these is standing on.

Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.
