Kress KR282 EyePilot 4×4 RTKn

Corrections come from Kress’s network rather than hardware you install, which removes the antenna but puts the boundary on 4G reception at the property. Where sky view is blocked by trees or buildings, the mower falls back to Vision Mode rather than stopping.

EyePilot’s handling is genuine and runs on the mower: stereo cameras with V-SLAM on a dedicated onboard AI chip, making decisions in real time. What Kress does with that imagery beyond the machine is not published in verifiable terms, so off-device retention is unverified rather than established either way.

Lymow One Plus

Wire-free RTK ships with its antenna and mounting hardware in the box, so there is no separate base station to purchase. Setup moves from wire burial to antenna placement and signal calibration.

Rubber tracks hold slopes and wet grass that wheeled mowers slip on, at the cost of a 78 lb machine to move, transport and store.

Camera-assisted navigation: the front camera feeds obstacle avoidance and an in-app live view. Lymow has not published what is retained or uploaded.

Owners requiring perimeter-wire setup
KR282 is wire-free only. No wired boundary option exists. Owners who already buried perimeter wire or prefer that model cannot use this mower.

Vision-based obstacle detection assumes clear-enough line of sight. Tall unmown grass or dense weeds may cause reduced autonomy during initial passes.
Owners who need a documented data-handling position before buying
EyePilot perception runs on an onboard chip, and the mower carries an embedded SIM with five years of included data, so it is connected whenever it runs. What is retained or transmitted is not published in terms this record could verify. Buyers who need that in writing should ask Kress before purchase.
Lymow One Plus
Ground steeper than the 100 percent (45 degree) rating
Lymow rates the tracked drive to 100 percent grade, which is 45 degrees, not 25 percent. PCWorld's reviewer reports reliable performance around 30 degrees in use. Ground beyond the rating is outside what the machine is built for.
Privacy-sensitive yards (data collection)
The mower carries a front camera for obstacle avoidance and a live app feed. Lymow has not published retention or cloud-upload terms, so a privacy-sensitive owner has nothing documented to evaluate before deployment.
Perimeter-wire-dependent yards
Virtual RTK boundary replaces wire entirely. No fallback to buried perimeter if RTK signal degrades; open yards near tall structures risk signal loss.

  • Seasonally: Clear clippings from the deck and underside; inspect the charging contacts for corrosion.
  • Seasonally: Clear the charging station of debris and confirm the mower seats squarely on it.
  • As needed: Free obstructions from the undercarriage and wheels; recheck app boundaries and no-mow zones after landscaping changes.
