Husqvarna Automower 320 NERA

EPOS removes the boundary wire but adds a plug-in kit and, where Wi-Fi does not cover the garden, a fixed reference station. One dependency substitutes for another rather than disappearing.

Sub-centimeter boundary accuracy pairs with bump-sensor-only obstacle detection. Precision positioning does not buy onboard sensing.

Wire-free operation is an add-on rather than a standard fitting. The EPOS Plug-in kit is a separate purchase, so the wire-free configuration and the base machine are two different prices under one model name.

Kress KR282 EyePilot 4×4 RTKn

Corrections come from Kress’s network rather than hardware you install, which removes the antenna but puts the boundary on 4G reception at the property. Where sky view is blocked by trees or buildings, the mower falls back to Vision Mode rather than stopping.

EyePilot’s handling is genuine and runs on the mower: stereo cameras with V-SLAM on a dedicated onboard AI chip, making decisions in real time. What Kress does with that imagery beyond the machine is not published in verifiable terms, so off-device retention is unverified rather than established either way.
