The physical scrubbing motion is fully automated. The judgment of whether the grate is clean enough is not.

Offline operation means no connectivity risk and zero app dependency; it also means no firmware path to address the brush wear and battery degradation patterns that owner forums have documented for over a decade.

Ropet KAMOMO

Processes camera/microphone input locally by default, but its one cloud-connected feature (Dream Sketch) must be manually enabled and understood before use.

Offers face recognition for up to 100 people, but published physical dimensions and a stable price are not available from the manufacturer.

  • After every use: Rinse unit and brush heads to remove residue; allow to dry before storage.
  • By inspection: Replace brush heads when wires are flattened, splayed or missing. Grillbot publishes no cycle interval, so wear is judged by looking at the heads. Brass for standard gas; stainless for heavy buildup.
  • Before seasonal storage: Store the lithium pack partially charged in a cool, dry place and top it up occasionally over the off-season. Do not deep-discharge it before storage.
  • Annually: Inspect drive wheels and brush motor housing for debris or grease accumulation.
  • As needed: Replace the battery when it no longer completes a cycle; parts availability depends on manufacturer stock.

  • Charging: Owner charges the device; charge time is approximately 1-2 hours depending on method.
