Eureka E20 Plus

Carpet detection lifts the mop pad 10 mm, so one pass covers hard floor and low-pile carpet; deeper pile sits inside that clearance, which is where owner reports describe trouble.

The bagless station removes the recurring bag cost, but emptying it means tipping out a 2 L bin by hand rather than pulling a sealed bag.

Honiture T10 Robot Vacuum

The lower purchase price reflects a standard charging dock rather than a self-emptying or self-washing base, shifting more routine handling onto the owner.

Stores up to 5 floor maps for multi-story navigation, but the small onboard dustbin and water tank limit how much of that mapped area can be covered before manual attention is needed.

Owner reports document suction loss and navigation hesitation on carpets above 15 mm pile. Eureka publishes three selectable suction levels, so a maximum setting is available to fall back on.
Predominantly carpeted homes buying for the mop
The mop is a hard-floor system. Eureka's mop-lifting mechanism raises the pad 10 mm when carpet is detected, so the pad wipes tile, laminate, and sealed hard floors and lifts clear of rugs rather than passing over them.
Cluttered floors with small objects, cables, or socks
DuoDetect AI 3D obstacle avoidance pairs a dual-line laser with a side PSD sensor, and Eureka states it works in low light. Owner reports still describe tangles with loose cables and ingestion of small objects, so clearing cords before a run remains part of the routine.

  • After every use: Check brush roll for hair wrap; remove tangles before they compact into the bearing.
  • Weekly: Wipe cliff and wall sensors with a dry cloth to prevent false-stop behavior.
  • Monthly: Tap out or rinse the HEPA-style filter; inspect side brush for wear.
  • About every 45 days: Empty the station’s 2 L transparent bin. It is reusable and the station takes no disposable bags.
  • Every 3-6 months: Replace the side brush (~$8-12 per pair); replace the main brush roll if bristles are visibly worn.
  • Every 3-6 months: Replace the HEPA-style filter (~$10-15 per two-pack).
