Ecovacs

Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni | V70 Ultra Complete |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodCapable but dock footprint (22×20 in) exceeds typical apartment space allocation. | GoodA 6,400 mAh battery with recharge-and-resume covers a compact home comfortably. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodRuntime and dock capacity align well; adequate coverage in one pass on mixed floors. | GoodMOVA lists a Smart Resume function that recharges and continues where a run stopped. |
| Over 3,000they differ | GoodDesigned for large homes; multi-room mapping and auto-dock return enable full-home coverage. | DependsNo runtime or coverage figure is published, so large homes may need several recharge cycles. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodLiDAR and AIVI 3D excel on hard floors; mop lift prevents water pooling. | GoodPads spin at 300 rpm under 15 N, and Gear Diary saw them scrub dried spots rather than smear. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodLiDAR reads low-pile carpet well; navigation remains accurate. | GoodPads lift 10.5 mm on carpet or stay in the dock for vacuum-only runs, per Gear Diary. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | PoorOwner reports document suction loss and brush tangles on high-pile and Berber carpet. | DependsA 10.5 mm lift may not clear dense pile; leave the pads in the dock for those rooms. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light mopping | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent mopping | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |
| You want to… | ||
| Empty bin myself | GoodHands-off dock operation but mop pads require weekly rinses on carpeted homes. | GoodHands-on upkeep is light; the dock empties, washes and dries on its own. |
| Empty occasionally | GoodDock automates dust and mop wash; owner effort reduces to monthly filter swaps and quarterly consumables. | GoodOwner tasks come down to water tanks every few mops and washing the reusable dust container. |
| Set-and-forget | DependsDock minimizes handling but mop clogging and dock maintenance still demand user attention. | DependsThe 4 L and 3.5 L water tanks still need refilling and emptying by hand. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The station washes and dries the pads for you, but it cannot take them off: a mixed-surface home still needs a person to remove the pads before the robot will vacuum carpet, and the dock cycle itself runs 2-3 hours.
The dock footprint matches the cleaning capability: larger homes justify its size, but compact layouts force trade-offs in placement flexibility.
Reaching arms clean what a round robot circles around, and they add two more moving mechanisms to keep working.
Bagless emptying saves the cost of bags; the price is a loud empty cycle that Gear Diary flagged.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
