Ecovacs Deebot T50 Max Pro Omni

BLAST is airflow, not an attachment: a 100 W motor with a 45% larger impeller and a low-resistance duct moving 16.3 L/s. It raises pickup across every surface rather than targeting one kind of debris, and it does nothing about hair that wraps a brush, which is what ZeroTangle 2.0 is there for.

An all-in-one station trades cabinet size for consolidated maintenance: one place to fill, one to empty and one bag to change, in a footprint that has to be found on the floor. It reduces the number of places you attend to, not the number of consumables.

Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A

The Multifunctional Dock 3.0 takes over emptying, washing, drying and refilling, but it is a full-size station that needs a permanent spot near an outlet, and its own clean and waste water tanks are still filled and emptied by hand.

Standard dock requires monthly intervention, yet the robot maps like a $1,200 flagship; capability ceiling is high, but ownership floor is unchanged.

  • As the station prompts: Refill the clean-water tank, empty the dirty-water tank and top up cleaning solution. The station washes the mops in 167F water and dries them with 113F air on its own.
  • Every few months: Replace the 3 L dust bag; Ecovacs sells them in multipacks at a few dollars each.
  • Every 3-6 months: Main brush inspection and replacement when worn; filter element swap if clogged (~$20-30).
  • In hard-water areas: Fill the clean-water tank with distilled or filtered water to limit scale in the station’s heated water path.
