Vormax suction is rated at 19,500 Pa and the dock washes the mop pads at 75°C: both depend on a large mains-powered PowerDock that needs a permanent level spot and consumes dust bags.
Initial learning phase delays immediate autonomy: LiDAR mapping and obstacle learning require 2-3 runs before reliable scheduling, but unlock 3-4 week intervals after.
App-first control requires cloud integration: smartphone scheduling and floor-plan storage mandate location data and manufacturer cloud access. No fully-local operation available.
The bagless cyclonic dock is the headline change and the biggest unknown: it removes a recurring bag cost but carries none of the field history Ecovacs’ bag-based Omni docks have built up over years.
Independent verification is thin because the machine is new, not because nobody looked: the SGS dust-mite figure is real third-party data, while suction, navigation and reliability claims still trace back to Ecovacs’ own launch materials.

What stays your job
