Deep Robotics X30

The modular mount takes third-party sensors, but Deep Robotics publishes no payload compatibility matrix and no mass allowance, so qualifying a payload and predicting its effect on climbing falls to the buyer or the integrator.

IP67 sealing lets the robot work in substation spray and dust, and Deep Robotics publishes 2.5 to 4 hours of endurance with tool-free quick-swap packs. Extending a shift past that means either an operator on site to swap packs or the X30 Pro Dock, which recharges without handling but ties the route to a fixed return point.

It solves reaching by changing the kitchen: pallets attached to counters stand in for a grasping arm.

Not sold through consumer channels. Priced, warranted and supported as industrial equipment, and deployment assumes professional commissioning and a site-specific safety review.
Sites outside the published operating envelope
Deep Robotics publishes IP67 sealing across -20 to 55 C and stair and slope climbing to 45 degrees. Hotter, colder or steeper sites are outside what the manufacturer states, and no field data covering them is published.
Routes longer than one charge with nobody on site
Deep Robotics publishes 2.5 to 4 hours of endurance and 10 km or more of patrol range per charge. Anything beyond that needs either the X30 Pro Dock, so the robot returns and recharges on its own, or someone on site to swap battery packs.

Households hoping to buy one outright in 2026
Labrador's availability page ties the consumer Retriever to Retriever Pro demand and gives no date. Its reservation page still quotes a delivery estimate for the second half of 2023.
Homes where daily life spans two or more floors
The Robot Report describes cliff sensors that detect stairs and drops, and no stair-climbing ability is published. One unit serves one floor, so items still need carrying between levels.
Anyone needing loose objects picked up from floors or shelves
Retrieval works only with prepared trays on installed pallets, as IEEE Spectrum described it. Nothing in Labrador's material describes grasping an arbitrary object.
Loads heavier than 25 pounds across both decks
Labrador lists 25 pounds as the carrying limit over two decks, and its launch release caps each retrievable tray at 10 pounds.
Buyers who require a published data policy for camera devices
Labrador's privacy policy, last updated December 2021, covers its website only. It says nothing about the robot's 3D camera imagery, home map or voice commands.

  • After every use:Rinse dust or spray residue from the shell and wipe the sensor windows; check the leg joints for lodged debris.
  • Between shifts:Swap the battery pack, which comes out without tools, or return the robot to the X30 Pro Dock to charge.
  • Service intervals:Deep Robotics publishes no owner service schedule, consumable list or parts pricing for the X30. The enclosure is IP67 sealed and is not owner-serviceable: joint, seal and actuator work goes back to the manufacturer or the integrator that supplied the robot.
Labrador Systems Retriever
  • Daily: Stage trays on the counter-mounted pallets before the robot is sent to fetch them.
  • Daily: Keep the route to the self-charging dock clear; Labrador lists about 4 hours for a full recharge.
  • Weekly: Wipe both decks and the trays that carry food, drinks and dishes.
  • As needed: Keep passages at least 28 inches wide after moving furniture.
  • As needed: Arrange service through the care provider or Labrador; no public parts or repair channel is listed.
