01 Classification

What each one does on its own.

The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.

02 Assessment

Where they actually differ.

The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

04 Ownership

What the numbers leave out.

The trade-off

What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.

ANTHBOT Genie 600

Newer name, current-generation autonomy. RTK and four-camera vision meet Level III standards, and the 3-year warranty is longer than most mower brands offer. What is not yet on the record is multi-season durability data or a published firmware roadmap.

Ecovacs Goat GX-600

Wire elimination buys nothing to install. No perimeter wire, no beacon, no base station and no correction subscription. What you take on instead is a boundary the mower has to see, which depends on the lawn edge staying legible to a camera.

Excellent on known terrain; the mower builds its map over the first runs and then operates with minimal variability. The floor is high, but the 600 m2 ceiling is the same as compact wire-guided alternatives.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

ANTHBOT Genie 600
Yards beyond about 0.22 acre
Rated single-mow coverage is about 0.22 acre, roughly 900 m2. ANTHBOT supports up to 20 mapped zones, so a larger property can be divided, but total rated area is the limit rather than the zone count.
Steep slopes above 45% gradient
ANTHBOT rates the Genie 600 at 45 percent, which it states as 24 degrees, driven through all four wheels. Above the rating the manufacturer's figure no longer covers traction or stability, and wet grass reduces grip below it.
Owners who want a long-established service network
ANTHBOT is a newer name than the incumbent mower brands and publishes no multi-year firmware roadmap. The mower carries a 3-year warranty, longer than most established mower brands offer, but parts and service depend on a younger support organization.
Perimeter-wire yards or wire-first preferences
Genie 600 is wire-free only. Switching to RTK after years of wire use may surface hidden obstacles.
Ecovacs Goat GX-600
Yards over 600 m2, or borders the camera cannot read
Rated for 600 m2, about 6,460 sq ft. Dense canopy that flattens the contrast between turf and border, or an edge grown out into beds and gravel, can affect boundary recognition.
Steep slopes above 40% gradient
Ecovacs rates the GX-600 at 22 degrees, which is a 40 percent gradient. Above the rating the machine is outside the manufacturer's figure. Traction on any robotic mower drops on wet grass, so grip on a steep bank is lowest after rain.
Owners seeking centimeter-precision stripe patterns
Camera-based boundary detection does not provide RTK-level centimeter accuracy between passes. Stripe-focused owners should choose dedicated RTK platforms.
Owners seeking lowest-cost entry point
Wire-guided alternatives deliver similar coverage and autonomy at lower lifetime cost for small yards.

What stays your job

The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.

ANTHBOT Genie 600
  • Weekly: Deck debris clearance and visual damage inspection.
  • Blade changes: The Genie 600 cuts with five titanium-coated blades that ANTHBOT describes as easy to swap. Replace them as a set once edges are dull or chipped. Do not sharpen: grinding removes the coating that gives the edge its life and its fracture resistance on a machine that runs unattended. ANTHBOT publishes no replacement price or interval.
  • Every 3-6 months: RTK antenna and dock contact cleaning.
  • Seasonally: Off-season storage indoors with the pack left charged rather than run down, topped up periodically; charging-station contact inspection.
  • Annually: Firmware updates when available; wheel and motor bearing inspection.
  • As needed: Perimeter remapping after yard changes.
Ecovacs Goat GX-600
  • Seasonally: First run of the season is docking the mower and letting it re-map; there is no base station to deploy and no site calibration.
  • Blade changes: Inspect the blades through the season and replace the set once edges are dull or chipped. A spare kit ships with the mower and replacements are sold in multi-packs. Replace rather than sharpen: grinding thins the steel and unbalances the disc on a machine that runs unattended.
  • After every 5-10 uses: Clear deck and blade area of grass clippings and debris.
  • Monthly (during season): Wipe the camera window. A fouled lens is what degrades boundary recognition.
  • Annually: Dock connector cleaning; check wheels and fasteners before the first mow.
05 Evidence

How much each of these is standing on.

Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.
