Aiper Scuba V3

You are paying flagship cordless pricing for full-surface coverage. At $1,199 list the V3 sits well above Aiper’s entry cordless models, and what the money buys is the wall and waterline work those machines leave to you.

Vision routing means the robot picks the path, not you. There is no perimeter to define and no dimensions to enter, and equally no way to hand it a plan when it misses a corner.

Beatbot AquaSense 2

Cable-free operation trades coverage predictability. Smart mapping navigates efficiently in open water but is prone to missed corner pockets and slow wall approach in complex basin shapes (steps, islands, shallow shelves).

Cordless convenience comes with a manual lift. Beatbot rates up to 4 hours of floor cleaning or 3.5 hours on walls and waterline per charge. After that the robot surface-parks and waits to be carried to its stand for roughly four hours of charging, during which nothing happens in the pool.

Who each one is wrong for

Buyers looking for entry cordless pricing
List price is $1,199 and street price has run near $950 to $1,000. Aiper's $499 to $599 cordless models are a different class of machine; the V3 is not one of them.
Pools needing more than one full cycle in a session
Aiper publishes up to 180 minutes in full floor, wall, and waterline mode and up to 240 minutes in eco, and independent testing measured 140 to 150 minutes of continuous running. A pool that takes longer than that needs a recharge between runs.
Continuous heavy debris loads
The MicroMesh assembly is a rinsable two-layer filter rather than a large basket. Under sustained leaf fall it needs clearing after every cycle.

Beatbot's published operating range is 0.5 m to 3 m of water depth. Outside it, floor, wall and waterline behavior is not rated.
Heavy seasonal debris loads
The 2 L filter basket fills quickly under heavy leaf fall and is emptied by hand between runs, so autumn cleaning stays a several-times-a-week job rather than a scheduled one.
Owners who cannot lift the robot out to charge
There is no in-water charging. Every cycle ends with the robot parked at the surface and the owner lifting it onto the wireless stand, where it charges in about four hours. SmartDrain empties the water out first, but the lift itself is manual.
Pools kept under a cover most of the season
The robot needs open water to surface-park and to answer an app recall; a cover left partly on can trap it below. Covers come off for every run.

  • After every use: Lift out the filter assembly, empty the debris, and rinse both mesh layers with a hose.
  • Weekly: Clean the brushes and check the drive tracks for lodged debris.
  • Monthly: Inspect the seals around the filter housing and the wheel treads for wear.
  • Seasonally: Store the robot indoors with the battery charged rather than empty. A lithium pack left discharged over a closed season degrades.
  • As needed: Replace the MicroMesh assembly or the brushes through Aiper. There is no scheduled consumable; the filter layers are rinsable rather than a recurring purchase.
Beatbot AquaSense 2
  • After each run: Lift out the 2 L filter basket and rinse the debris off with fresh water.
  • Weekly: Inspect the waterline brush and the drive tracks for trapped grit, hair or wear.
  • Monthly: Deep-clean the basket and check that the 150 micrometer media is not torn or distorted.
  • Charging: Charge on the vertical stand on a hard, non-combustible surface clear of anything that can burn. Beatbot gives about four hours for a full charge of the 10,000 mAh pack.
  • As needed: Confirm app connectivity before scheduled cycles; install firmware updates when Beatbot releases them.
  • Seasonally: In freezing climates, take the robot out of the pool and store it and the charging stand indoors; dry all seals before storage.
